Hello experts,
I have seen a few posts about this error "No true sender object entered" and yet to see a solid answer. Let me explain what's happening in my case and hopefully someone can provide some clarity. If not, I may turn this into SAP Help.
Recently we implemented the ESS Time Recording function. We had an employee attempt to use an overriding cost center in their timesheet and got the "No true sender object entered" and "Enter a sender" errors when attempting to save.
Now, here is the confusing part. The profile (CAC1) we are using for this employee (ESS) is almost an exact match to another profile (SINGLE) we use for time administrators with the exception of the Approval required with the ESS profile. The Default values section is the same. If I log into the SAPGUI and go to CAT2 and try to use this same overriding cost center, I do not get these errors and can save the timesheet.
I see recommendations about using IT0315, however our hourly employees do not have an IT0315 and we haven't successfully for 5 years. Can anyone provide an explanation of why the HRESS_A_CATS_1 application in ESS Time Recording is working different than CAT2 in the SAPGUI?
It doesn't make any sense that CAT2 works and HRESS_A_CATS_1 does not. I understand that both methods are accessed by different users with different security roles, however there isn't anything that I can see that points to this being a security issue.
