Absent days not highlighting Team Calendar of MSS

Hi all,

In the Team calendar of MSS, Manager can see the number of employees absent & at work on a particular day.

Those employee who is absent is not applied the leave through ESS, instead directly created entry in IT2001. My query is in the team calendar, those days are not highlighting in different calendar if we view the team calendar month wise..

Is it like absent days will be highlighted only if employee apply leave request through the ESS...???
