I have a request from our Recruiting team to create a custom tab that is the same as the Recruiter tab in the portal, however it will be a lighter version for hiring managers to view requisitions and candidates, thus read only. If I am on the wrong forum, please let me know which would be better.
I have gone into admin portal under Content Administration and created a role called Hiring Manager. Under that role, I have copied several of the Recruiter iViews, Pages, and Work Sets into the new Hiring Manager folder, then adjusted the objects to be under the new role I created. I previewed them and it looks fine.
As what I thought was the final step, I went to User Administration and assigned the new role to my userid directly, so I would see the new tab in my portal and the Work Set I assigned to the role. The problem is I cannot see the new tab/role in my portal and I'm at a loss at what I'm missing. Can anyone with more portal experience than myself tell me what steps I'm missing? As FYI, I did refresh the portal cache, but still nothing.
