IT0041 - Anniversary: Displaying the wrong Dat type

Hello SAP Guru's!

I have a little question about an issue for the ESS/MSS Portal.

We have an overview for the MSS, when the Manager wants to look up for some Data about his employee's. There is also an entry which is called
"Date of anniversary".

Problem here is, that this entry is getting the wrong Data in the Portalview. But in our Backendsystem it is maintained as it should be.

So my wish is to show the dattype 04 (19.06.1991) also in the Portalview. But do I have to define it over the Tables or is that an additional ABAP coding (Implementation of a Badi and so on)?
