Adding custom fields in ESS Leave request application.
We are using standard ESS Leave Request application to create leave
request. Our requirement is to add custom fields in application. But
we are
unable to add more than 10 custom fields. In SPRO we have only 10
custom
fields to add to layout.The structure 'PTREQ_CUSTOMER_STRUC' which is
used
for custom fields can not be enhanced. Is there any way to provide more
than 10 custom fields for leave request application?

Reminder of dates and compensation information are not getting refreshed after data change at the backend in MSS ABAP in portal 7.31
Hi All,
We are at portal version 7.31 and have implemented MSS ABAP.
when we change the data at the backend, reminder of dates and compensation management are not getting refreshed(updated with new data) in portal.
when we clear the cache of explorer and login logoff 2-3 times, then it gets refreshed.
What could be the reason?

Resource not found for Segment (MSS Easy Query KPI)

I'm working on Manager self service easy queries in ECC ERP system NW 7.4 SP6. I have completed all required steps by using how to guide. I'm facing error message " Resource not found for the segment 'ZPT_C01_Q004" when I call the Odata service from call Browser. I used below URL to call Odata service.

Skills Profile and Profile Match-up on ESS
Hello Everyone,
We are using the old Java version of the skills profile on ESS.
Currently if an employee's qualification is expired the status light shows red is there away to configure so that a yellow light indicator is set say for 3 months prior to expiration?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

HR Renewal-My Info Lane applications (Leave Request&Emp Profile) not working through the Portal giving runtime error
Hi Everyone,
In my HR Renewal implementation (1.0 FP4) , I am able to open Leave Request, Emp Profile & Org Chart through the backend role (PFCG--> EEPHR_EMPLOYEE_ESS_XX_UI5_1->Execute).
But same role in Portal (after I import role from backend), when select the My Lane->Leave Request, Emp Profile & Org Chart, its giving portal runtime error.
Is there any additional steps to be configured in Portal, I have tried to change the alias name in lpd_cust but same error message.
I followed below thread too.

Any suggestions to overcome this issue?

Error on applying leave on behalf of Employee.
Dear Experts,
When Manager Applies leave behalf of Employee say eg: "Leave request:Sick leave (20.10.2014),on behalf of xxxx employee, he his getting error "Already Annual leave is being taken"
I have checked R3 there is no leave entry for particular date.
Also request to share config and portal path on Behalf of employee absence and other data can be maintained in portal.
Where will we maintain this kind of entry "Leave behalf of employee(ESS or MSS or Time Keeper).if you can share path and screen shot it will useful. .

Field Control Problem for IT0009 in HRESS_AC_PERSINFO

System Info:
NW AS 7.03 ABAP Stack 731 Level 13, ECC 606 (EHP 6) with SAP_HR 604 Level 78 and EA_HR 607 (HR-Renewal 1) Level 29
Background:
We are currently using the old WDJ scenarios for Display/Editing of the Infotypes IT0006 and IT0009 but now want to switch to using the WDA-based solution HRESS_AC_PERSINFO. I have already enhanceed the FPM-Configs to allow for a dedicated selection of IT0006 and IT0009 and hid all the other UIBBs available in Standard. The field Control maintained in V_T588MFPROPC hasn't been changed since it should (and does) apply for WDA as well as for WDJ. Screen of the field control (Note: we are in Germany Public Sector, that's why it's 'OE' instead of '01'):
Note: In case you are wondering why most of the fields are set read-only, yet mandatory: All read-only fields should be available for display purposes only (naturally) and their content is drawn merely from the IBAN. However, if for some reason (choose any reason you like) one of these fields should not be polled correctly or be cleared the application has to crash at this point, i.e. the process has to break. That is the case because internally we still need bank account number and the bank code and there is no further "defense-line" for plausibility in our external FI System (non-SAP).
Problem:
When I enter into edit mode of the IT0009's UIBB it all looks good, i.e. the field control is correctly adapted:
However, what happens when an employee enters an incorrect IBAN, the plausibility check AND the field control go entirely haywire. The following screenshot shows what happens when I enter a wrong IBAN:
The first thing that's nonsensial, is that an error is thrown that states that the field EMFTX is not filled (as you can see it IS filled). Furthermore, what's even worse, the fields BANKL, EMFTX and BANKN become editable which must never never never happen.
What I tried so far / Analysis:
I have not yet debugged into the depths of the GUIBB, instead I used ANST to check for standard corrections. From ANST's output I have implemented Notes 2013604 and 2020932 to no avail. I also tried to implement Note 2049483, but it seems to be faulty and can't be cleanly implemented (I raised a message for BC-UPG-NA subsequently).
Has anybody ever encountered something alike? Is there something I'm missing?

HR Letters in EP
Hi,
I'm wondering if there is any standard application delivered by SAP through HR Renewal content that allow customers to create letters and let them available in Employee Self Service.
An example of a letter would be: Visa Letters, Employment Verification (not for US), Company Recommendation for University, etc.

Brazil: Vacation Planning in ESS
Hi,
We are evaluating possibilities to implement a Vacation Planning solution in Brazil.
As this process is so critical and complex in our country, usually we need to develop custom applications (infotypes, WD apps, workflows and reports).
I know that SAP is supposed to have a standard localized application to support this requirement but I don't know any company in Brazil who is really using it. I believe that the reason is because it does not fulfill local requirements.
Has any one from Brazil used the standard application? Or at least has evaluated?

Details button doesn´t work in Leave Request Approval (POWL)
We migrated our ess applications from Web Dynpro JAVA to Web Dynpro ABAP.
Everything works fine but the 'details' button in leave request approval seems to have no function in POWL.
Strangely the details button works in NWBC, but doesn't work while using the POWL standalone or in portal.
Clicking on 'details' should normally open a pop-up with more information about the requested absence (e.g. time accounts, teamcalendar).
The approve, reject, print and export buttons work properly. But the details button does not.
We are on EhP 7 and we use standard workflow WS33700137.
The error occours in both, our own z-POWL and also in standard MANAGER_MSS_INBOX_2 POWL.

self service Admin role is available in QA and Production Portal
Hi
I have few questions related ESS EPH3 webdynpro java and SAP Portal 7.01
Self service admin role is not available in DEV Portal. But i am not able to find the Self Service Admin role in QA and Production Portals. Please let me , do i need to transport that role from DEV to QA and production manually using transport package? Even the ESS BP is deployed in QA and Production Portal also. I am able to see the the other standard PCD content related to ESS in QA and Production Portals , but not the Self Service Admin role.
I have two more questions related to ESS customization.
How to integrate the custom component in the ESS BP application as one new step using the ESS Road map functionality( using FPM component).
Kindly clarify it.

Blank Screen observed on portal while accessing reports for user but working for a test user
Hi Experts
While accessing wd abap reports on portal,a user is getting a blank screen after selection of employees.
But when I test the same with the test user it is working fine.I have attached a screenshot for your reference.
Please advice if this is an issue with the Java version used or with authorization only.

Add Position in ESS under Personal Info
